12th Annual JW Memorial Golf Outing

Gameplay

Our 12th Annual Golf Outing is scheduled for September 13, 2025, at the River’s Edge Golf Club. We are allowed up to 30 teams for this four-person scramble. There will not be any divisions, so men and women will be playing together and competing with each other, though some games may have a prize for men and a prize for women. Men will play from the men's tees and women will play from the women's tees. You must use each person on your team's drive at least twice.

Schedule

  • 09:15 am - Check-In Opens, raffles available along with coffee and doughnuts

  • 10:00 am - Opening Remarks and Shotgun Start

  • 12:00 pm - Lunch at the Turn Opens

  • 04:00 pm - Award Ceremony, Closing Remarks

Cost

Registration cost includes green fees, use of cart, lunch at the turn, goodie bag, grub following the outing, and more.

18 holes, each hole has a contest and/or game. Are you ready to Golf Differently? Last year’s contests:

  • Hit the straightest drive on this hole to win.

  • Be the first lucky golfer to ace #3 and win!

  • Hit the longest drive with a baseball bat to win a prize compiled by Dylan!

  • TnT Golfapalooza will be hosting this closest-to-the-pin contest where you will tee off using an air cannon to launch the golf ball +325 yards to the green with the golfer closest to the pin getting the win.

  • One of the crowd favorites is back! Whoever drives his/her marshmallow the furthest from the tee wins!

  • On this short Par 4, golfers will elect to go for the green (~260 yards from the Men's tees) or play it safe - but the golfer that puts, at most, his/her second shot closest to the pin (*second shot must be from the tee box side of the river), will win!

  • This longest drive requires using a beer can as your tee, in true JD fashion. Longest drive wins!

  • Land your tee shot closest-to-the-pin to win!

  • We will let you assume what the hole entails.

  • Be the first lucky golfer to ace #14 and win $10,000.00!

  • Blind approach to the green with a Longest Putt Contest where the winner will need to cover a lot of real estate.

  • Take a selfie with the life-size JW, then post it on FB using the hashtag #jwmemorial for a chance to win!

    *If it’s raining, he may be chillaxing at the Clubhouse, he’s sensitive to water.

  • Be the fastest group to complete this hole for a chance to win!

  • When JW got a hold of a drive, he would like to say "Got both cheeks into that one." Longest drive takes home a prize!

  • At the end of the day, we'll tally up all the scores and calculate the average score. During his travels, JW always enjoyed visiting English pubs, therefore this year each player on the team that scored average (or closest to without going over) will win a $25 gift card from The Black Sheep Pub, which includes a complimentary Scottish Egg.

  • Arguably the favorite, at the beginning of the round each team is given a colored golf ball with a number written on it. During the round, the team alternates who plays that ball on each hole. If your team doesn't lose the colored golf ball, it gets entered into a drawing at the end of the outing. Winning team gets a pint of Crown Royal (a JW favorite) for each golfer. If everyone loses the ball, Chelsea wins and keeps the liquor.

  • Everyone is a winner, therefore even the highest score will be walking away from the day with a prize courtesy of our mom.

  • Walk away with the lowest score and win this year’s, 12th Annual, trophy.
